Tiny Set Up
1) This is not a professional lens review. I don’t own professional testing gear, or use professional testing gear. This is intended to test the new SLR Magic 8mm lens and see if it can be used as a pocketable extreme wide angle lens.
The portability of the micro four thirds system is amazing. Pictured is a M43 Camera (GM5) with a 12-32mm lens (24-64mm equivalent) a 35-100mm lens (70-200mm equivalent) and the new SLR Magic 8mm lens (16mm equivalent).
This is not a kit for everyone, but for folks who climb, hike long distances, trail run, bike ride, obsessed with weight and pack light there is nothing that beats this system for creating professional images in a camera with a three lens set up that can easily be held in your hands.
Now let’s look at how the tiny SLR 8mm lens performs.
